After the Rain: Quentin Vuong

The Galerie Gastou is pleased to announce the exhibition After the Rain, dedicated to the work of artist-designer Quentin Vuong.

This event marks a significant milestone in the career of the young desinger, who in recent years has established himself as one of the most exciting new talents in the Parisian design scene.

Vuong’s creations explore our relationship with nature, time, materiality, and tactility. Upon his furniture appear to be drops of rain, frozen after a summer storm through the delicate application of gleaming resin. These gravity defying drops cascade across the surface of the smooth wood, hand-sculpted and carved with precision using a gouge.

His mirrors, delicately gilded with white gold leaf, reveal misty, ethereal images reminiscent of mysterious portals, bearing witness to the passage of time. This poetic ensemble serves as a constant invitation to contemplation and the awakening of our senses.
