After the Rain: Quentin Vuong

The Galerie Gastou is pleased to announce its upcoming exhibition, After the Rain, dedicated to the work of designer Quentin Vuong, opening on January 15th.

This event marks a significant milestone in the career of this young talent and will take place during the week of Maison & Objet 2025 - Paris Rive Gauche, January 2025.

Vuong’s creations explore our relationship with nature, time, materiality, and tactility. Upon his furniture appear to be drops of rain, frozen after a summer storm through the delicate application of gleaming resin. These gravity defying drops cascade across the surface of the smooth wood, hand-sculpted and carved with precision using a gouge.

His mirrors, delicately gilded with white gold leaf, reveal misty, ethereal images reminiscent of mysterious portals, bearing witness to the passage of time. This poetic ensemble serves as a constant invitation to contemplation and the awakening of our senses.
